We at Knitter Social Networking Pvt. Ltd. (Hereinafter 'Company', 'Knitter' 'We' or 'us') care for your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy provides for our practice related to the collection, use and disclosure of information that you provide to us. This information may include the website and the mobile application or any microsites or sub-sites that we have in present or may have in future ('Website', 'Site', 'Mobile Application or Application', 'App' or 'Platform').

Collection Of Information

What information do we collect?

 • We may collect and process the following information or data (including personal information and information that can be uniquely identified with you) about you. When browsing, registering or using our platform, you may be asked to provide information about you, which may include your personal information such as:

    • Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address (including your postal address);
    • Email Address and Password to help you with your experience;
    • Mobile Phone Number;
    • A record of correspondence between you and us;
    • Your replies to any surveys or questionnaire that we may use for research purposes along with your Name, E-mail or Knitter Account details;
    • Device ID and location;
    • Details of your visits to the platform and the resources that you access;
    • Information we may require from you when you report a problem with the platform including your name, mobile number and description of the problem that you are facing;

    • As a part of your Profile creation, we may also collect information related to your Occupation, Education, Interests and Profile Pictures, if you choose to provide these information to us. Similarly, we may also collect your posts including text, image or video if you post them on your timeline.

    • In order to provide better services we also collect information about the Device Id and location along with network and connection information, so that we can provide you more relevant user experience.

    • We shall collect the information about the Name of your village, along with the name of your state and district/city even if you choose to use the application as a guest user to display the relevant content based on your location.

    • We also collect information based on your behavior on the platform to do internal research related to demographics, interests and to understand, protect and serve our users. This includes the URL of website which directed you to us, which URL you next go to, your interests and likes and the products that you browse or view on our platform.

    • We do not provide for any monetary transaction on our platform. Hence, we do not collect or require any accounting, financial details or bank related details including information such as your credit card, debit card or bank account details.

    • Information is also gathered without you actively providing it, through the use of various technologies and methods such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, computer browser information and cookies. These methods do not collect or store personal information.

    • We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our server, report aggregate information, and determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to our platform, and to administer and improve the site. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), so you can access the Internet. It is generally considered to be non-personally identifiable information, because in most cases an IP address can only be traced back to your ISP or the large company or organization that provides your internet access (such as your employer if you are at work).

    • We also allow data caching to make your experience better.

We collect information about you only to make your experience with us better. We may collect your information to:

When Do We Collect Information

We at Knitter do not intend to collect any of your information without your consent or knowledge. If you choose not to provide any information to us, you might not be able to use some of the features or services provided by us. We may collect information when you register, make a transaction, initiate communication, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse or surf the platform, or use some features on our platform.

How Do We Use Your Information

We may amend or modify, this Privacy Policy including replacing this Privacy Policy with a new policy, at any time at the sole discretion of Knitter. However, we will update you about any such changes by updating it on the platform and notifying it to you through a notification or a pop up. We provide you with the choice of opting out of receiving non-essential communications like promotional and marketing related from us and our partners.
